Neighborlink Fort Wayne Coaches
Coaches

Welcome to the NeighborLink Fort Wayne Coaches page!

Coaches are the backbone to NeighborLink Fort Wayne's community-building efforts. Coaches are committed to being the best servants--serving their project teams and the Fort Wayne area community.

What do Coaches do?
• They review projects submitted to the website.
• They "construct" projects by:
--locating special tools, and, if necessary, Volunteers with special licenses (e.g., electrical, plumbing, etc.),
--designating the number of Volunteers needed, and
--scheduling a date and time for the project.
• They facilitate the construction of a Volunteer project team.
--A project team has roughly the same Volunteers from project to project, with room for an additional Volunteer or two.
--A Coach e-mails or calls Volunteers that have served on the Coach's past project teams to get Volunteers for an upcoming project.
• They look for opportunities to serve, and post them to the website.
• They serve the Volunteers during a service project.
• They are involved in "Coaches Appreciation Breakfast", scheduled at least twice a year, where all coaches meet for training and encouragement.

How do I become a Coach?
• Serve on a NeighborLink Fort Wayne Volunteer team as frequently as you can. Coaches are the best Volunteers we have.
• Register as a Coach below, by clicking on "Register as a Coach", and filling in the information requested.
• You'll work with the NeighborLink Executive Director who is a resource to you and can help you learn how to most effectively use the NeighborLink web site.
